Strathberry x New York Fashion Week

Strathberry SS23 Presentation

New York, 6th September 2022 -

Strathberry was delighted to embark on their first ever NYFW event and official US Brand launch hosted by the brand’s owner and co-founder Leeanne Hundleby at the iconic Waverly Inn, in the heart of the West Village.

Showcasing an exclusive preview of  their mood-boosting Portugal-inspired SS23 collection, the Scottish brand were thrilled to host this special event in this industry-favourite location and welcome key editors, stylists and influencers in the city.

The beautifully decorated courtyard with its quaint ivy-dotted red brick walls and statement fireplace perfectly complemented the collection, bringing it to life in a unique and intimate setting.

Guest enjoyed live art personalisation from talented illustrator Suzie from Drawn Together NYC (@hellosuzylee and @drawntogethernyc) who decorated Strathberry’s newly-launched Crescent Wallets with initials and floral motifs stolen/taken from the collection.

From celebrated American author and performer Alok Menon, model and editor Sophie Sumner and influencers Nicolette Mason and Luana Barron, take a look at what our wonderful guests got up to that afternoon, whilst rocking their new and old favourite Strathberry styles.

Strathberry x New York Fashion Week

Once again Strathberry walked the runways of New York Fashion Week alongside legendary designer, Bibhu Mohapatra.

As reported in Vogue, Mohapatra was particularly interested in the late German artist “Claude Cahun’s use of masks to alter her appearance in self-portraits, and abstracted that idea. “Instead of using masks in the literal sense, I have tried to create many renditions of the Bibhu woman,” he said.”

Styled by New York based Australian celebrity stylist Caitlin Pope, our collection’s flair and artistry was perfectly suited to the standout show, and highlighted the way our versatility celebrates Mohapatra’s ‘many renditions’ of womanhood.
